Terms of Service (English)

1. The service

CorgiTalk Korean ("CorgiTalk") is a website operated by CHRIS DAY that teaches beginner Korean through travel missions. By using it, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Beta and free use

  • CorgiTalk is currently free and in beta. Features and lessons may change, pause, or be removed.
  • If paid features are introduced, they will be clearly marked and will never be charged without your explicit agreement.

3. Accounts and demo profiles

  • You can use every lesson without an account.
  • Demo profiles are shared with other people. Do not enter personal information into them, and expect progress to be reset at any time.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • try to break, overload, or get unauthorized access to the service or its database;
  • submit someone else's email address to the waitlist;
  • copy and redistribute the lesson content as your own product.

5. Learning content

Lessons, text, and the Bori character are original CorgiTalk content and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning. We work to keep the Korean accurate and beginner-safe, but language learning content is provided for general education only. For important situations such as medical, legal, or immigration matters, rely on a qualified interpreter.

6. Audio and speaking check

Audio and speech checks use features built into your browser. Quality and availability depend on your browser and device, and the speaking check is a learning aid, not an official assessment.

6-1. Talk to Bori (AI beta)

Bori's replies in Talk to Bori may be written by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). They are for practice, can be wrong or unnatural, and are not professional language advice. The AI conversation feature is intended for users aged 18 and over. Do not enter personal or sensitive information. Rounds and daily use are limited, and the feature may switch to prepared replies or be paused at any time.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

CorgiTalk is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of a free beta service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Changes and ending the service

We may update these terms. Important changes will be announced on the site at least 7 days before they take effect. If we end the service, we will announce it in advance where possible and delete stored personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep any mandatory protections of your local law. Questions: hello@corgitalk.com.

이용약관 (한국어)

제1조 (목적)

이 약관은 CHRIS DAY(이하 "운영자")가 제공하는 코기톡(CorgiTalk Korean, 이하 "서비스")의 이용 조건과 절차, 운영자와 이용자의 권리·의무를 정하는 것을 목적으로 합니다. 이용자는 서비스를 이용함으로써 이 약관과 개인정보 처리방침에 동의합니다.

제2조 (서비스의 내용 및 변경)

  • 서비스는 현재 무료 베타로 제공되며, 기능과 레슨은 변경·중단·삭제될 수 있습니다.
  • 유료 기능을 도입하는 경우 명확히 표시하며, 이용자의 명시적 동의 없이 요금을 청구하지 않습니다.

제3조 (계정 및 데모 프로필)

  • 모든 레슨은 계정 없이 이용할 수 있습니다.
  • 데모 프로필은 여러 사람이 함께 사용하는 공용 계정이므로 개인정보를 입력하지 마시고, 진도는 언제든 초기화될 수 있습니다.

제4조 (이용자의 의무)

이용자는 다음 행위를 해서는 안 됩니다.

  • 서비스나 데이터베이스를 손상·과부하시키거나 무단으로 접근하는 행위
  • 타인의 이메일 주소로 출시 알림을 신청하는 행위
  • 레슨 콘텐츠를 복제하여 자신의 상품으로 재배포하는 행위

제5조 (콘텐츠의 권리)

레슨, 문구, 보리 캐릭터 등 서비스 콘텐츠의 저작권은 운영자에게 있으며, 이용자는 개인 학습 목적으로 이용할 수 있습니다. 학습 콘텐츠는 일반적인 교육 목적으로 제공되며, 의료·법률·출입국 등 중요한 상황에서는 전문 통역의 도움을 받으시기 바랍니다.

제6조 (음성 및 말하기 확인)

음성 재생과 말하기 확인은 브라우저 내장 기능을 사용하며, 품질과 지원 여부는 브라우저와 기기에 따라 다릅니다. 말하기 확인은 학습 보조 기능이며 공식 평가가 아닙니다.

제6조의2 (Talk to Bori AI 베타)

Talk to Bori의 보리 답변은 AI 모델(Anthropic의 Claude)이 작성할 수 있습니다. 답변은 연습용이며 틀리거나 부자연스러울 수 있고, 전문적인 언어 조언이 아닙니다. AI 대화 기능은 만 18세 이상 이용자를 대상으로 합니다. 개인정보나 민감한 정보를 입력하지 마세요. 대화 횟수와 하루 사용량에 제한이 있으며, 기능은 언제든 준비된 답변으로 전환되거나 중단될 수 있습니다.

제7조 (책임의 제한)

서비스는 무료 베타로 "있는 그대로" 제공됩니다. 운영자는 관련 법령이 허용하는 범위에서 서비스 이용으로 발생한 간접·부수적 손해에 대해 책임을 지지 않습니다. 다만 운영자의 고의 또는 중대한 과실로 인한 손해는 그러하지 않습니다.

제8조 (약관의 변경 및 서비스 종료)

운영자는 약관을 변경할 수 있으며, 중요한 변경은 시행 7일 전부터 웹사이트에 공지합니다. 서비스를 종료하는 경우 가능한 한 사전에 공지하고, 보관 중인 개인정보는 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 파기합니다.

제9조 (준거법 및 문의)
