CorgiTalk is built to collect as little as possible. You can learn without an account, and your progress stays on your device unless you choose to sign in.

Privacy Policy (English)
This policy explains how CHRIS DAY ("CorgiTalk", "we") handles personal information when you use the CorgiTalk Korean website. It is written to meet the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, for visitors from the EU and UK, the GDPR.
1. Summary
- No account is needed. As a guest, your learning progress is saved only in your browser.
- We only store your email if you join the waitlist, and only to tell you when new stages open.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
- We do not record or store your voice.
- In Talk to Bori, what you type is sent to Anthropic to write Bori's reply. We do not store the conversation.
2. What we collect and why

Guest progress (when you are not signed in) is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us.
Audio and speaking check. Korean audio is produced by your browser's built-in voice. When you press Say it, your browser may send your voice to its own speech service (for example, Google for Chrome or Apple for Safari) to turn it into text, under that company's privacy policy. CorgiTalk only sees the resulting text on the page to check your answer. It is not saved or sent to us. You can always skip the microphone and use I said it out loud instead.
Legal basis (GDPR). Waitlist emails: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Website delivery, security, and aggregate analytics: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure service. Demo profile progress and Talk to Bori replies: providing the service you asked for.
3. Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember your progress and, if you sign in, your session. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) does not use cookies. You can clear this data in your browser settings or with the button below.
4. Service providers and international transfers
We do not share your information with third parties for their own use. We rely on these providers to run CorgiTalk:

Information is transferred over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) at the moment you use the site, and kept for the periods in section 2. Because CorgiTalk cannot run without hosting, you can refuse this transfer only by not using the site. You can refuse the database transfer by not joining the waitlist and not signing in; you can still use every lesson as a guest. You can avoid the transfer to Anthropic by not using Talk to Bori, or by using it while it is in practice mode.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete, or stop the processing of your information, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@corgitalk.com from the address you used, and we will respond within 10 days. To leave the waitlist, send a message with the subject "Unsubscribe". If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Children
CorgiTalk is not intended for children under 14 (under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security and deletion
- All traffic uses HTTPS.
- The waitlist table can only be added to from the website. It cannot be read back from a browser.
- Each signed-in profile can only read and change its own progress.
- Access to the database is limited to the operator.
- When information is no longer needed, it is permanently deleted from the database.

9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and announce important changes on the site at least 7 days in advance.
개인정보 처리방침 (한국어)
CHRIS DAY(이하 "코기톡")은 「개인정보 보호법」에 따라 이용자의 개인정보를 보호하고 관련 고충을 원활하게 처리하기 위하여 다음과 같이 개인정보 처리방침을 수립·공개합니다.
제1조 (처리하는 개인정보 항목, 목적 및 보유기간)

로그인하지 않은 상태의 학습 진도는 이용자 브라우저의 로컬 저장소에만 저장되며 코기톡에 전송되지 않습니다. 한국어 음성은 브라우저 내장 음성으로 재생됩니다. "Say it(말하기)" 버튼을 누르면 브라우저가 음성을 텍스트로 변환하기 위해 브라우저 제공사(예: Chrome은 Google, Safari는 Apple)의 음성 서비스로 전송할 수 있으며, 이는 해당 회사의 개인정보 처리방침을 따릅니다. 코기톡은 변환된 텍스트를 화면에서 정답 확인에만 사용하며 저장하거나 전송받지 않습니다.
제2조 (개인정보의 제3자 제공)
코기톡은 이용자의 개인정보를 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다. 다만 법령에 특별한 규정이 있는 경우는 예외로 합니다.
제3조 (개인정보 처리의 위탁 및 국외 이전)
코기톡은 서비스 운영을 위해 다음과 같이 개인정보 처리를 위탁하며, 수탁자의 서버가 국외에 있어 개인정보가 국외로 이전됩니다.

- 거부 방법 및 효과: 출시 알림 신청과 로그인을 하지 않으면 데이터베이스로의 이전을 거부할 수 있으며, 이 경우에도 모든 레슨을 이용할 수 있습니다. Anthropic으로의 이전은 Talk to Bori를 사용하지 않거나 연습 모드로 사용하면 거부할 수 있습니다. 호스팅을 위한 이전은 서비스 제공에 필수적이므로, 거부하려면 서비스 이용을 중단해야 합니다.
제4조 (개인정보의 파기)
보유 기간이 끝나거나 처리 목적이 달성된 개인정보는 지체 없이 데이터베이스에서 복구할 수 없는 방법으로 영구 삭제합니다. 다른 법령에 따라 보존해야 하는 경우에는 해당 기간 동안 별도로 보관합니다.
제5조 (정보주체의 권리·의무 및 행사 방법)
이용자는 언제든지 개인정보 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리정지 요구 및 동의 철회를 할 수 있습니다. 신청한 이메일 주소로 hello@corgitalk.com에 요청하시면 10일 이내에 처리합니다. 출시 알림 수신을 원하지 않으시면 제목에 "수신 거부"를 적어 보내주세요.
제6조 (만 14세 미만 아동)
코기톡은 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동의 개인정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다. 수집 사실을 알게 되면 즉시 삭제합니다.
제7조 (개인정보의 안전성 확보 조치)
- 모든 통신은 HTTPS로 암호화합니다.
- 출시 알림 테이블은 웹사이트에서 추가만 가능하며 브라우저에서 조회할 수 없도록 접근 권한(RLS)을 설정했습니다.
- 로그인한 프로필은 자신의 학습 진도만 조회·변경할 수 있습니다.
- 데이터베이스 접근 권한은 운영자로 제한합니다.
제8조 (자동 수집 장치의 설치·운영 및 거부)
코기톡은 광고나 사이트 간 추적을 위한 쿠키를 사용하지 않습니다. 학습 진도와 로그인 상태 유지를 위해 브라우저 로컬 저장소를 사용하며, 방문 통계(Vercel Web Analytics)는 쿠키를 사용하지 않습니다. 브라우저 설정 또는 위의 "Clear CorgiTalk data on this device" 버튼으로 언제든 삭제할 수 있습니다.
